What is the formula for X% of Y?

The formula is (X ÷ 100) × Y. For example, 15% of 200 is (15 ÷ 100) × 200 = 30.

How do you calculate percentage increase?

Subtract the old value from the new value, divide by the old value, then multiply by 100. The calculator does this automatically and shows the formula beside the result.
